All we have to do is get inside that kid's head. He was a hot prospect over here in Ark., committed to more than one school, hell, he couldn't decide where he wanted to go, and wound up at Memphis State because of some girlfriend or something there. He may be a good baller, but he's flaky. Didn't he show interest in Ole Miss? I forget; it's been a couple of years. He was pulling every school's chain for awhile there.

I may be thinking of someone entirely different, but I heard that Bama had him locked, and he changed his mind at the last second because of is woman at Tiger High. Sad reason not to play football in the SEC.

I seem to recall hearing at the time on the local sports talk show, that he was making overtures to Ark and Ole Miss as well. And at one point he basically went underground, hid out at his Momma's or other relative's house, got his head together, then as you mentioned, went to Tiger High. He had a lot of folks perturbed at him by the time he decided.
