RE: App @ NMSU
There was so much cognitive dissonance there. Those Catamount Pride/AGS guys couldn't decide if we would never compete or if most of the FCS would win the Sun Belt.

I think Sam Houston State could compete in the Sun Belt but yes, there was a ton of, and still is, major butt hurt over there.

The Furman and el Cid folks were the best at that.

Back to back 600+ yards of offense for App with Cox and Moore both over 100 again. Hope App gets Beau Nunn back before the bowl game, even though the line has played well in his absence.

One other thing, we now have a win over every team in the Sun Belt.

I had more fun. I ATE free pizzas during my show! Channelo's used to call up with requests. I'd play them and they'd send over a pizza loaded with pepperoni. This was a regular thing and many is the night I :couldn't sleep worth a crap because of heartburn, but I never passed up free pizza!04-cheers

Attendance was officially 1,111. That's the lowest I've ever heard of at the FBS level.

I really would like to see NMSU do well next year. Their AD seems like a great man for the job and I would love to see him and the few but loyal longtime fans of the Aggies finally be rewarded with a bowl game.

The NM State box score had 5,366. I'm inclined to believe the 1,111 number though.

Only 9 games left in the SBC for NMSU. Then we will no longer drag the conference down, RPI wise, CFP wise or attendance wise. Sorry we could not leave this year.

I don't care where it is as long as we win it. It is what it is in the conference right now. We'll never have to go out there again, in all likelyhood,

Sorry we are outside the conference footprint and the travel is so inconvenient to the membership of the SBC. SBC fans should take comfort in the fact that NMSU has paid for all travel to Las Cruces for their football teams, cheerleaders and bands. Glad we can save you guys money.

Hope you guys find a good conference fit wherever you land. Don't think you were a good fit for the SBC (strictly because of location), but you have some qualities (great academics and a great basketball program) that should make you more appealing to a conference in that time zone. Be pulling for something to open up for you, good luck.
