I do think there is a clause. The school can sell the tickets below 1/3 cost if the actual game ticket is used by a real person/ scanned in.

A) Im not sure why anyone would be "sick of the sellout streak"
B) 3k fans? Where you there? There were more than 3k fans cheering at the final whistle.

Actually, because this game was tied at the half it seemed like very few fans left at halftime compared to other games. I really don't see a correlation between the streak and fans choosing to leave at halftime. Personally, I never leave any game early, but you can't very well keep people from leaving when they want to. I'M most of this dynamic will change drastically when the new stadium opens.

Don't think there are too many students around this weekend

Dorms are closed until tomorrow afternoon

I get it, just saying, it can't be a sellout unless all of those tickets were picked up and they're just no-shows, which is unlikely.
I'm an odaf member, alum, and current student. When it looks dicey for a sellout I will order my student ticket, and then sit in my odaf seat.

I'm pretty sure the full student ticket allotment would still count in the paid attendance whether they're claimed or not. If 1000 student tickets were claimed for Saturday's game, they would have still paid for 4000 (or whatever the student allotment is per game) since student fees were still collected and the budget was already allocated.

Yes, the problem Saturday was FIU didn't bring hardly anyone; it's a holiday weekend so many regulars are even out of attending, and no students on campus.

I'm with those who say that it wasn't at all bad attendance -- both at the start and at the end.

Yeah, the student seating was only 1/3 occupied, but the rest of the stadium looked (and sounded) near full. Of those regulars around me, most had found replacements to fill their seats.

Maybe I'm a terrible fan to sit by, but its always scarce around me, but there were probably 20 new fans I had never seen show up and sit in the seats.
