We're gonna make that Toledo/stAte match up happen again and y'all are going to win this time.

I hope you guys take Mobile (been there already this year vs south) and someone else takes Montgomery (too close to home). I'd love for Troy to head back to New Orleans or go to Orlando.

No, someone else can have Toledo. We've crossed that bridge enough.

It's not a worry. DG won't do a rematch.

2008 AState was playing Troy in a winner takes all to close the season. NOLA had already said they wanted USM. AState and USM had played earlier in the year. The league wanted NOLA to take someone else from CUSA if AState won because Birmingham was poised to take Troy if AState won but didn't want AState. NOLA said if you don't want a rematch, send someone else to play. Troy resolved the issue at Troy.

Let's say AState gets the Cajun Field monkey off its back and then wins at Texas State.

Mobile wants the best possible match-up. If Toledo loses to WMU and WMU goes NY6 then Toledo is the best available MAC. If NOLA wants Troy figuring they will capitalize on pent-up demand for a bowl trip, then it becomes decision time.

I could see Mobile being agnostic between taking an 8-4 champion vs 9-3 runner-up. The Commissioner will have to make a decision as to whether to rematch or send AState to Montgomery and put App in Mobile to avoid a rematch.

I love Mobile but not on the 23rd. NO, Orlando or even Montgomery would be preferable just because of the date. I really don't want to deal with an airport on the 24th, even a small expensive one like Mobile. Can get cheap flights to Orlando and NO from ATL and can drive to Montgomery. Would enjoy a shot at Toledo if that happens too. Just happy to be bowling again!

I would not mind an App v Toledo Bowl game. If stAte , Troy and App win out, how likely would the NO bowl be to not take stAte ? Wouldn't they want to take the league champs?

They don't have to take the league champ as long as the champ is accommodated

There's no history of NOLA taking the league champ. They generally go for the best matchup and the best crowds.

Assuming everyone wins out ... my guess.

NOLA - Troy
DG - App
Camellia - A-State
Arizona - Idaho
Cure - USA

That would good except I do feel for App fans or any team going to DG with that date.

RE: 11/23 ESPN Bowl Projections
With Southern Miss now 6-6. I think they will head to Nola (USM has a history of going to NOLA after a 6 win season) and will not want a TROY/USM matchup...

Ill bet stAte plays USM in Nola

and TROY vs Toledo in Mobile to avoid that rematch with stAte.

Watched SoMiss beat the necksters today. If we win out I think it's a good game for us and them in NO.
