Everbody knows our record against Memphis, but what's our record against Joe Lee since he went to the other side?
I'm not to concerned about their offense because I believe our defense will hold well against them. It's their defense with Joe Lee that concerns me. Somebody please give us the numbers on our games against his defense

Ask and ye shall receive....and it's not good news. We are 3-5 against JLD since his departure in 94.

He spent '95 at Arkansas, and they beat us that year 13-6.
The rest were with MSU up until this coming season, now at Memphis State.

'00 Win 45-30
'01 Loss 36-28
'02 Win 24-12

Another scary fact....in his one season as interim head coach at Ole Miss in '94, JLD lost to both MSU and Memphis State! :eek:

Also, JLD has had nation-leading defenses at both MSU and Ole Miss while there. And his one season at Arkansas, they won the SEC West. No doubt, he has a decorated past, but he has really struggled in the last couple of years. We've heard about "well, teams are finally figuring him out", and such. But I'm not so sure. I think that might be true to some degree, but I also think that he and Jackie weren't gelling too much the last few years, thus his decline in aggressive defenses. I'm a little concerned about what kind of D Memphis State will have Saturday myself.

Also, JLD has had nation-leading defenses at both MSU and Ole Miss while there. And his one season at Arkansas, they won the SEC West. Taking from another poster, Vandy was a much improved ball club, I don't think we were ready for them, I just hope we're ready this weekend.
