Cross Country
While we were distracted by a roller coaster football team and an underachieving men's basketball team, both the men and women won the MAC cross country championships. The men's scorers finished 1,2,3,4,5, a fantastic feat.

After the MAC they were on to the NCAA regional meet. Both teams had very good meets and finished fourth, high, but not automatic qualifiers to the national meet. The women grabbed an at-large selection, but the men's team missed out. Like last year though Nick Raymond managed an individual invitation.

The women finished ninth in the team standings at the national meet. Think about that. They had the ninth best performance in the country. And it was determined by pure competition, not by opinions or computers. Jordan McDermitt was named All-American, as was Raymond on the men's side.
