Exclamation At least Troy won't completely fall out of the polls...
A writer for SEC Country submitted his Top 25 ballot today for the AP Poll. He had Troy at #24.

At least we'll still have some votes... so there's still a possibility to finished in the Top 25 by finishing 11-2 with a bowl win.

Yeah that's what we thought last year...

I think there's a decent chance (depending on bowl opponent) Troy can end up in the top 25 if they win out.

But to me, even bigger than that is that if you have an OOC like you did this season... You'll have a shot at an early season top 25, which will be better long-term.

Unless things have changed, they don't do post-bowl rankings. If they did, AState would have likely cracked the top 25 in 2013.

The difference though is that at this point last year, App State was getting zero votes in the AP Poll. You guys finished #33 in the AP Poll after the bowl game.

Currently, Troy is already #34 in the AP Poll with two games left and a bowl game. So as far as the AP Poll goes, we are in a better position to be ranked than Appalachian State was last year.

Difference is that you guys were unranked last year when you took that loss to us. Troy's already been ranked this year, and human polls are incredibly biased. Once you are ranked, it's a lot easier to get ranked again a couple weeks after a bad loss.

No offense but I think that SEC writer probably doesn't know that you lost to stAte...or he did his undergrad work at Troy...

Even worse. That Southern Cal beat writer ranked Troy this week higher than the week before. It just shows that some of these writers aren't paying any attention...or he confused us with the other Trojans.

Our OOC schedule next year is similar...Only 1 P5 school in LSU and depending on who they hire its not out the realm to get that upset.

We have Alabama state, Akron and Boise st.

I like our odds next year....If we keep brown and staff and no one goes to NFL. We will have a better team next year.

Upsetting LSU is more likely than beating Boise St; they always take care of business, esp at home.
