Hartford
So we leave the state of NJ at 0-2. The next game is Friday for our home opener. Hartford is a very winnable game but we will have to keep progressing and finding what works. Hartford is coming off an OT win against a future opponent in Niagara to bring their record to 1-1

Hartford won't have the size that we struggled with against Rutgers. Hartford's leading scorer is by far senior guard Jalen Ross. He is scoring 26.5 ppg and shoots 94% from the free throw line.

Since he is a good shooter (48.5% FG% and 41.7% 3pt%) we will have to find a way to limit his scoring and cannot let him get to the line. Otherwise there really is not much to write about for Hartford. Rodney should be able to have his way down low and should be a good game for our guards to show what they can do when not over-matched.

Hartford- 63
Drexel- 71

RE: Hartford
Fantastic win tonight. Student Section was packed, and hopefully most of them had a great time and will be back. Seems like we always have a great crowd for the home opener, and then they lose and most of the students don't come back.

It wasn't perfect, and there were tons of times when the offense looked weak, especially in the first half. And there were some sloppy moments here and there as well. And I'm aware that Hartford isn't a very good team. But after what we saw last year, we'll take a win any way we can get it.

RE: Hartford
After the slow first half it was a nice recovery in the 2nd. At 31 first half points I was not sure where offense would come from but 56 in the second half is certainly promising, even against a short handed poor team in Hartford. Nice win. Hopefully that will continue to bring students to the games.

RE: Hartford
47% from the floor is nice too, especially since we were horrid from the 3 point line at 4-18
