Maybe this is a topic for the conference board, but I would rather vent to fellow Monarch fans. Who in the heck are these teams our conference partners are are scheduling in basketball? South Carolina, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, JMU, Texas State, and Fresno State are all fine non-conference opponents. Every other C-USA team that didn't play one of the teams listed above played schools I've never even heard of.

Do yourself a favor and look at last night's scoreboard to see if you have heard of some of these teams. Our conference desperately needs to implement some sort of a scheduling rule like the A-10 has.

On another note, it wasn't pretty but I'm glad to get our first win of the season last night! Nice size crowd but not loud for most of the game. It was a tough game to get into, not a whole lot of flow with the zebras blowing whistles all night.

A lot of new faces. The fans need to get to know this team. I am more concerned about our fundamental lack of shooting ability. Can we get somebody on staff to teach these guys how to shoot a jump shot? Maybe watch tapes of Trey Freeman.

Southern Miss played against an NAIA team - and it went into overtime. Regardless of results, that is a JOKE. Are you kidding me? That game shouldn't count for their record. Play an exhibition game like the rest of us. And these guys were in consideration for AAC.....? Wow.

Probably best you keep it on this board. Can't speak for everyone but I think a lot of people don't like us lol

Okay, I know this is piling on but I am pretty sure it actually went to Double-Overtime. At least that is what their highly distressed fans were saying on their message board. SMH

Same thing every year since we've been in this conference. Can't rely on half the conference to beat slumbelt teams.
