RE: *****Game Thread: Middle Tennessee @ Marshall*****
Maybe this will get Stockstill to resign. If I had $5 million or whatever it takes to give to our AD to get rid of CRS I would be making a phone call to Chris Massaro as soon as the clock hits all zeros. I hope our crowd shows up for Senior Day ceremonies, cheers the players on, and then LEAVES the stadium in protest of this HORRIBLE coach and pathetic display of ineptitude. I am so so so angry. Thank you Marshall for exposing just how horrible this idiot is. And it looks like our team has given up on Stockstill, I know most MT fans have. I wouldn't be surprised if we announce 6,000 fans for FAU game. Especially if we lose to Charlotte. Marshall you all played well and made us look like crap (which we are). If this looks like nuclear meltdown then good because that's what it is. I, and MT fans in general, have suffered through so many years of this I am so sick and tired.

First time this year, I've felt good about both sides of the ball. Good game guys! Finish strong!
Always enjoy beating Middle Tennessee. They have success against us at their place.

You all played well and had a little help from our inept defense. You didn't try to get cute and fancy, you did what worked and you won big because you have a coach with at least some game smarts. Congrats on the win. Hopefully we can have a new HC or at the very least a new DC next year. But who knows. Maybe Stockstill will be here forever, and I will become a WKU football* fan in protest.

Ho about that Litton? Thats what happems when you speak ignorance.
In the grand scheme of things, I was more wrong about us not stopping their running game. I thought they would have ran all over us tonight on the ground, and that was the biggest difference in the game for us.
There was more of a visible spirit this week on both sides of the ball. That's about as far as I'll go at this time. The issues with this team have been inside the helmets this year.

Joking about that, but I say that to make a point. I would rather cheer for WKU against MT than sit through another year of this dumpster fire of a coaching staff. But knowing the people in charge, we could lose to y'all by a score of 63-0 and Stock would still say "we competed" and Massaro would still shrug it off. L O L

If it gets Stockstill fired or closer to it, I will be happy. It is just pathetic to have this man leading the team. What a terrible coach to try to "impart knowledge" on these kids -- the knowledge of what, how to be mediocre with luck? It will be worth it if we can get a change. Otherwise, more of the same, which pisses me off just as much.

I know losing a QB makes a difference, but I just did not expect that much drop off. Are there other injuries other than the QB that recently went down? You guys was a stong team until Stock went down

I know it could be a lot worse. Apples to oranges for sure. But this has been a constant frustration of MT fans for the last decade plus. I have never been more angry about anything MT related than this game. Even the WKU losses. This is just a new level of upset

P.S. This isn't the worst Marshall squad in the Holliday era... its the worst Marshall squad since the President Ronald Reagan era.

Let's not get carried away, he played well, but early on he still threw too high on short routes. His mechanics are godawful unless he's rolling out. It's like he can't pass in the pocket. One game no more makes him great than the first 2-3 made him bad. But on the whole he's flubbed as many plays as the OC is responsible for.

The MTSU fans and band who attended were first class. I know the game did not go the way you wished. We've both felt that sense of frustration.
Huntington, Joan C.Edwards Stadium, and Marshall University in general are just "different" in this week each year. MTSU clearly has its own problems but tonight, Marshall was a different animal than it had been all year to this point.
Best wishes the remainder of the season.

Well, speaking for all Monarchs, I think it would be a great salvage job for your season if the Herd pulls off the win against the Toppers. It's definitely been a strange season in C-USA this year, so let's all shoot for making it just a little stranger.
