lulz....

It's depressing to see all these idiots out protesting. You lost fair and square. Take it like a man, just like we did the last eight years.

Trump ran as a blue dog Dem and I Mr. D has said that a thousand times. He's the best R candidate a D could ask for.

Truth

Love seeing the Turtle and Ryan hopping onboard.

If he's successful in tearing up NAFTA and TPP no D would do that or be able too.

You lost the popular vote for Congress and the Presidency in 08, 12, and 16.

That was the reason for McMullin. And why it was difficult for a lot of Republicans to believe he would do what he claimed on Supreme Court picks. If we believed that it wouldn't have taken him so long to secure the base.

I'm still in "show me" mode as far as the Supreme Court. We'll see who he actually appoints.

This is so true... The only redeeming thing about Trump is that there is a chance he won't stack the courts like Hillary would have.

He's going to have to compromise unless they break the filibuster. Then that **** come back to haunt you when the tide turns. The republican aren't going to give up the filibuster unless they are incredibly short sighted.

Reid already did it. There's no reason for the Republicans to tie their hands behind their back except stupidity.

Trump needs to appoint another Scalia and McConnell needs to make it happen or get the hell out of the way.

9 Scalias would not be a good thing, but 3 would be good.

Im curious to how you would like to structure congress based off a national popular vote.

Hey Tom is that how the president is elected? The answer is no. This is the problem with all of you liberals. When the outcome doesn't go like you want, then the rules must change.

Should we start declaring the team that has the most yards the winner of a football game? Sounds pretty dumb doesn't it. Please stop being an idiot. The electoral college is the system we have. If you don't like this system move somewhere that picks its leader by popular vote.

Bullet,

That was on District judges. They know they would be in a world of hurt if they got rid of it altogether.

Why do people keep parroting this? The popular vote has little meaning for a number of reasons...

1. The campaigns were trying to win the electoral college votes, not the popular vote. Had the popular vote been the goal then resources would have been spent differently and you don't know who would have won.

2. Because of the EC, large numbers of people on the right and left didn't vote because there's no point in many people's opinions (e.g. you are in a safe state) - how do you count those lost votes that would have been cast had the popular vote been the goal? You can't.

3. Many voters may vote for a different candidate in order to help win EC votes, for example I'm sure many Democrats in Utah voted for McMullin knowing that was the smartest vote to cast to help HRC win. Again, there's no accounting for votes that would go either way because of reasons like this.

4. The largest 'vote' was stay at home and crank one out to Rachael Ray.
