I apologize if it was already posted here but I got a notification on my phone talking about how Jonnu Smith's girlfriend poured boiling water on him because he wasn't paying attention to him? WTF???

Terrible situation. I feel terrible for Jonnu. He really does seem like a great young man. I hope his injuries are minor and he can still chase his dreams of playing in the NFL. Good luck trying to sort things out with the baby mama....

That dude is a stud too. We couldn't even think about covering him.

Hopefully he heals enough in time for the combine/pro day. It would suck to have your NFL hopes taken away by a freak incident like this

I stayed away from the word accident for that reason haha. It was an incident, a very unfortunate and unnecessary one. She may have cost this man a future. I hope he can recover fully and I hope she gets the punishment she deserves.

That makes more sense. I went back and looked and sure enough there is incident. I guess my mind went straight to accident because freak incident isn't a normal phrase, but it is exactly what the situation was.

WTF. Put aside how it affects his ability to play football. Having severe, visible burns on the head and neck can really affect his overall happiness as a person. My brother accidentally poured boiling water on his shoulder on accident when he was younger and it looks really bad.
