RE: Open Thread 2016 - Week 11
Troy is not los ta game since the Clemson game and are ranked no. 23 or so. You keep tossing them out like they are UNC Charlotte or Marshall.
NC state game, Gallman got knocked out early, plus 4 turnovers. you guys know this but you leave it out of your robotic talking points.
Lville's played a weak schedule. nothing you have said has countered this point.
Pitt did something Lville couldn't pull off, win at Clemson. Given your performances against Duke and UVA, not sure Lville beats Pitt, which has a good run defense and can eat up clock running the ball.

All I read was excuses excuses for Clemson. Your excuse for simply getting lucky to not be beat by a NC State was CU turnovers. Funny, you fail to mention the reason UofL had a poor 1st half vs Wake was three fumbles.
Your next post on this board that is objective and makes logical sense will be your first.

you seem like you are bitter about losing to Clemson.
my excuse for almost losing to NC State was our star RB Galllman was knocked out of the game early plus 4 turnovers. you know Gallman was knocked out of the game but you never mention it, even after I mentioned it

With all of Clemson 5* recruits they don't have a backup RB? No depth with all of those top 10 recruiting classes? What does that say about your coach?

Clemson has a lot more wins than Lville the past 6 years. 3-0 against Lville. why are Lville fans always talking trash about Clemson.
Clemson beat NC State. nc state had an opportunity to win in overtime. if they were truly better as you beieve, why didn't they. it is not Clemson's fault they have a bad kicker or that they settled for a FG.
our backups did ok, but the turnovers in the game hurt. NC State has a very good defense too.

You keep talking about all of Clemson injuries & offer them as excuses as to why they struggled in some games but you don't recognize injuries on other teams. For instance, Wiggins was out for Louisville game against Clemson & they scored 3 of their TD's on his backup. You don't mention how Fields, potentially a 1st Rd draft pick, has missed some games. Everyone has injuries.
And saying Clemson is a top 4 team is taking trash?

RE: Open Thread 2016 - Week 11
i'm not using it as an excuse. Clemson WON the NC state game. the point of forcing teams to kick FGS is they might miss them. you guys wouldn't say Clemson deserved to win if we missed FGs. part of the reason that kicker may have missed that last FG is he had one blocked earlier in the game. i'm sure he was thinking about it.
Clemson has played a tough schedule this year and only has 1 loss. why would I be making excuses?
reality is people beat up on Clemson if they don't win by double digits but nobody ever talks about teams like Lville that struggle to beat teams like UVA and Duke.

RE: Open Thread 2016 - Week 11
Interesting from CBS...Projecting Non Conference Champion or even Division winning Ohio State to the CFP ...
It matters because now, if Ohio State -- which I do have projected in the playoff -- and Penn State both win out as expected, it will be the Nittany Lions playing for the Big Ten championship instead of the Buckeyes because of the head-to-head tiebreaker. That means that Michigan's loss changes the projection for Ohio State from a record of 12-1 and a conference championship to 11-1 and no conference championship. That's how a second straight 62-3 win ends up being part of a bad day for Ohio State.
With all that in mind, Wisconsin is now projected to win the Big Ten title over Penn State.
Keep in mind that winning a conference championship is not a requirement to be a part of the College Football Playoff. I believe the committee would still put Ohio State in the playoff in this scenario, but instead of seeding the Buckeyes second, Ohio State would get the fourth seed. The Buckeyes would have a better record, as good of a schedule, and a win over Wisconsin. That should be enough to keep the conference title from being a factor. I think it's a much more interesting discussion for the committee if Penn State ends up as the Big Ten champion.
