RE: Week 11 Pick'em
According to a poster on the Miami board, this is the first time we've been favored to win by double digits on the road since 2005 against Temple. Yeah.

Quote:For those who are really into politics, a political pro in FLorida indicates that by 8:00 p.m. we should know the margin in the part of FL in the eastern time zone. At 8 the Panhandle area polls will close.

I would say it COULD. I think that's going to be a barn-burner, much like the EMU/BSU game. But Florida's always one of those games where there's an onside kick at the end, and you don't want to declare the winner too early. It's like a crazy CMU game. I'd say when the EMU/BSU game's winding down would there be a good chance to know.

Quote:only 1 FCS win/season counts towards bowl eligibility so a 6-6 team with 2 FCS wins would not be considered bowl eligible.

Yeah, but you Are POTENTIALLY bowl eligible that way. You're on the waiting-list. Army for instance is most likely to be in that same boat. And they are pretty likely to get into a bowl. It's above going 6-7 in a 13-game set (Hawaii), and above 5-7 teams. I just say you're not FULLY Bowl Eligible -- you're on the waiting list, so you're just Potentially Bowl Eligible... or Conditionally Bowl Eligible would be a better phrase.

Broncos pull away way at the end, 37-21.

For me, it was just get the W. Another Tuesday road game, Election Day, rain, opponent wants their big shot at us. If there aren't style points, no big deal. Come back to Waldo for next two games.

It wasn't a blowout, and that's fine.

Tough night trying to watch both the game and election.

Both seemed to last forever... (official time of the game was 4:27).

[Clinton conceded, but had she wanted, the option for recounts in MI, and and maybe WI were possible due to the very narrow margins.]

BTW, for those who care, we now have an election, like 2000, where the winner of the popular vote lost in the electoral vote.

Clinton now leads nationally by 150K votes, and growing as California continues to count votes.

That's where I'm at right now. Congrats EMU! Going 1-11 and winless in the MAC to sitting at 6-4 with two more games left is no joke.

BGSU sticks a fork in Akron.

Ohio now has 4 chances to take the MAC East title
Any Ohio win in our next 2 games...
Any Miami loss in their next two games...

There is a possibility that the MAC could only have 4 Bowl Eligible teams...

RE: Week 11 Pick'em
Akron ended up playing a WR at QB the entire 2nd half. Woodson has been playing through his injury and appeared to re-aggravate. Our 2nd stringer got injured on a fumble play just before halftime. I highly doubt Akron will be able to beat OU next week to make it to a bowl. The team is in shambles.

At the end of the first, it's 13-0 Miami after two TDs and a missed PAT.

Miami continues to look good. They have the smell of a winner, 2017 BIG things. The QB, Ragdale is he the starter or is it the Bill Bahl?

Ragland. Billy Bahl is healthy enough to play and he definitely has the superior arm, but Ragland at the end of the day has been the one leading us to the wins. Much of that can't be placed on Bahl's shoulders with the injuries we had on offense and how bad our special teams were, but you can't take the ball away from the hot hand.

20-10 in the third by the way.

EDIT: Now 26-10 on a pick-six, another missed PAT. Wind is a factor according to the commentators, but that's still pretty bad.

RE: Week 11 Pick'em
Thirteen-point swing now out of Buffalo; UB has a TD called back on holding, a few plays later Miami recovers a fumble and takes it to the house. Another missed PAT, but at 32-10 this one looks pretty safe given that Miami has the wind in the fourth quarter.

Ragdale's run in 1st half PLOWING over that db reminded me of Jordan Lynch. Devastating hit.

Never heard of a player named Ragdale, but Ragland has looked pretty good. 03-wink

Miami wins 35-24 in a game that wasn't as close as the final score indicated. We now have our first bye week of the season coming up before our climatic regular season finale against Ball State in Oxford the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
