Nobody's saying that Schor has a cannon. But there are plenty of NFL back-ups who also don't have cannons for arms. Look at Matt Cassel & Ryan Fitzpatrick. Those are guys with Bryan Schor type games and are known for not having what it takes to throw and NFL quality deep ball. Sometimes you can get by on the intangibles.

I'm definitely not in the camp that he's an NFL guy at this time. But if he finishes this year out strong and uses his senior season to grow his game, maybe he gets an invite to a NFL camp. It's a long-shot, but not out of the question yet.

If he improves 20% as much over this offeseason as he did last offseason then it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities to at least make a camp or get some looks. Great decision-making goes a long way in the NFL. If he can add some arm strength it certainly wouldn't hurt. I've gotten corrected previously for saying he has a strong arm. I also wasn't saying he has a cannon, but he's capable of scrambling and then hitting a receiver on the right sideline from the left hash or fitting the ball in some tight spaces. He's certainly been helped by our receivers making some circus catches this season, but he's also putting the balls in great spots with proper speed on them. No, he's not going to hit a receiver 50 yards downfield, but he definitely has the arm to be on the money anywhere inside of 25 yards.

I'm not arguing, but he connected with Ravenel for 46 yds against Richmond. We haven't thrown deep much because we haven't had to much. I expect several deep balls against Villanova to spread the secondary. Certainly he can improve in this area, but I think he is capable enough and I expect he will prove that tomorrow and in the playoffs.

Just to clarify. I was saying Cawley and Williams were very good 1AA QBs.

The Dukes are snake bitten at the QB position the fourth time in a row we have a special team. (2008 Landers, 2010 Dudzik, 2015 Vee, 2016 Schor) The risk of running a spread offense is leaving your quarterback more vulnerable to injury.

Yes, I heard the same thing, instant double arm amputation, sucks that he has to hold up the conference championship trophy with his feet.

Again, if its not season ending, fingers crossed, he has 21 days os rest and treatment to get it right.

Go Dukes!

RE: Bryan Schor
there's at least a CHANCE it's not season ending. right? i mean it's his non-throwing arm, so my understanding (correct me if i'm wrong) is that you're simply worried about him being able to defend himself, correct? i know i'm speculating a lot, i just REALLY want him to be ok. i know we we run a spread and we're susceptible to injuries, but this is f***ing ridiculous.

He'll be back next week.

Actually, I have no idea when he will be back, but there are so many who simply assume the worst I thought I'd assume the best.

It was reported not to be his throwing arm, and it didn't appear to involve his wheels or his head, so there has to be a good chance he will return soon.

Mother's text confirms surgery on Monday. Broken collar bone. When he comes back is anyone's guess.

That's too bad. Can we beat Elon without him? Yes. Will there be enough time off before our first playoff game to see him return? Depends on the severity of the break.

6-8 weeks for a normal recovery, depending on the break. With surgical pins, who knows...?
