Same here. Very happy he won, but was afraid this could become a big distraction this week. Glad he is staying focused.

RE: Bryan Schor
Congrats to Bryan and his family, a phenomenal achievement for a great young man.
On a side note, we always talk about how pivotal it was that EW got Vad to come to Harrisonburg. The more important recent transfer may have been brought in by Coach Houston in Connor Mitch. From the time his transfer was announced, Bryan took his game to the next level and never turned back. And ultimately, I think Bryan is a much better quarterback than Vad was.

I will not go as far as you have by ranking the two men, but it's easy to understand your thought. This further irritates me with the way Bryan was handcuffed by EW and his staff for the final games of last season. EW put all his cards in the VL basket and folded when it was time for next-man-up. I think the world of VL, but this season has solidified my thoughts.

Because of the way that EW handcuffed Brian, I was 100% convinced that Schor would be a very mediocre QB at most. I was pumped about Mitch coming in and being the man. And look how it's all turned out.....

Yes, Congrats to Bryan and his family, on and off the field.
I agree with you that Bryan is a better all around QB as opposed to Vad. Their "game" is Apples and Oranges but I would take Bryan over Vad. However the 10 other guys on the field deserve a huge amount of credit for one persons success.

RE: Bryan Schor
Schor can flatout throw a ball, and yes he's also very fortunate to have a crew like Rav, Alls, Domo, Kloos, Davis, Miller, even Schiele and of course I'll forget someone, or plenty.
Point is, who ya gonna cover? This team is SO loaded on this part of the field it's an embarrassment of riches. Cover all these guys even one on one and watch Khalid or Cordon make your life miserable.
I heart this team as it's put together, I'm thinking BIG things. (not big things, shutdown UD cutie style...)
Congrats to Brian, he's spot on, and a class guy-
Quote:I knew I had teammates that could go make plays. All I had to do was stay within my game and just make the plays that presented themselves to me. I was pretty comfortable just to go out there and get our playmakers the ball and see what they could do after making the catch.
“Thanks again to them for making me look good on certain plays.”

Bryan has shown a lot of character this year, and I really hope we see him play in the NFL after JMU. It's amazing to think that we still have another year after this to see him play!

RE: Bryan Schor
I was watching bits of some of our games last year, and one thing that Bryan does incredibly well is follow his blocks on designed running plays. he's very patient. there is a play in the NDSU game where he runs to his left (maybe a fake HB toss counter?) and he does the same thing in the title game. I believe there is another one in the SHSU game, not sure if all are the same play as i'm not in front of the TV. but he's a very patient runner, and most importantly, he knows how to either slide or go head first safely. sometimes, head first is the safer play. he's incredibly smart and maximizes every yard without taking huge hits. underrated part of his game.

His caution began after his injury. While he was patient prior to injury, he also would duck his head and go for the extra yards. After the injury, he began the to slide or to dive rather than pound for a few more.

I didn't know that. Hopefully, he keeps it up (I'm sure he will). A lot of NFL coaches are now teaching players not to slide because you're more likely to get a concussion. It would be an illegal hit of course, but that doesn't mean you don't end up with a concussion.
