Or in the case of Docball, down there.

1-3 versus the 330th toughest schedule in the nation.

Great hire LC

Maybe he sucks, maybe he doesn't, but even Dale Jr. ain't winning sh*t behind the wheel of a '74 Pinto with 3 good tires.
Who says any of the tires are good?

I used to be a big Doc defender, but this is starting to get worrisome. I don't expect to beat any big name team by any means, but that loss tonight was absolutely ridiculous. Something has to change within our program.

RE: To all the Doc Sadler defenders
I will admit I know very little about how you recruit for basketball, but what I watched tonight was a group of players on scholarship that could not make a layup, pass to another team mate, defend against the 3 point shot, make a 3point shot, miss free throws and and had trouble In bounding. I also witnessed a coach who has let the game pass him by.

Our strategy on offense the past 3 years. Stand around the arc, pass the ball for ~20 seconds, jack contested three.

Need a bunch of people to pledge the funds to upgrade the arena with the condition that we truly invest in the program. New coach, new attitude, everything. NCAA tournament is a cash cow and we're missing out on it every year.

The renderings from our renovation feasibility study looked great, but I have heard ZERO about this project since then. We should be openly, activity & aggressively pursuing fund raising projects to get this project started.

the current group on the floor couldn't pass thru a turnstile...

we just don't have talent for obvious reasons....

I'm with HP that Doc may not be the answer.....however, the guy at least deserves another season to show how he can recruit now that the bulk of the fat tub-0-goo years are basically over....

hell, it took Monk 3 yrs to get the football program back in tune (which was a ******* miracle)

if this continues into next year, then I'll be first in line to join in on the Doc bashing....

Unfortunately no indicators reveal the possibility of one year making a difference. Sanctions, so to speak, is a real argument however this argument translates into depth more than entire team. Unless Doc brings in ten new studs 2017 performance will be more the same

I'm just wondering what anyone is seeing to give hope that next year will be different. It's not just a lack of talent. It's a lack of everything. Coaching, talent, strategy, competitiveness...we shouldn't have to worry about beating Jackson State no matter how bad we are.

Because the starting 5 are required by law to be good?

The entire eligible roster is guys who saw Southern Miss under an NCAA probe as their best option. Let's think about that.

Required by law? Do not recall making such a statement. But if we're handing out scholarships, yea, maybe the five should be decent D1 players. Apparently Jackson State is better identifying and signing players!?!

Personally I 'hope' Doc works out. Assuming next year 'we should be better' isn't logical. Will not have sufficient available scholarships to hand out for that to happen.

I dont know if coach K or Bobby knight could make things better with our situation. We need a F5 tornado to sit down right on top of reed green.

Vacant or not? That is the question.

One poster keeps saying all we do is jack contested 3s, however our leading scorers are mostly post players. How can that be ? Pretty sure we actually shoot a lot less 3s than our opponents. Basketball as a whole is getting very reliant on the 3.

Here's our 3 point shooting compared to our opponents. Yeah, lets move it back ASAP.

Total.............. 36-124 - 29.0%
Opponents.......... 66-168 39.3 %
