RE: Lewis Sullivan will redshirt
This is good news. On the other hand, I recall many games where Lewis coming off the bench was the spark that ignited better play. So he is a valuable bench player that sometimes actually looked better than the starters, even as a sophomore. I think we'll miss him this year as there were games when he seemed to be the only one that had it going on. Still, all in all, this is probably good for UAB and Lewis.

I agree. Tosin has yet to really show he can consistently bring it.
He was disappointing last night. Improved a bit late, had one really nice post move, and hit his little jumper once, but that was about it. Otherwise he was traveling, turning it over, or fouling.

Sullivan is probably the reason we didn't suffer an embarrassing loss at Troy last year.

I think it's a good move roster wise as well as for him. I know the concern but I think we will be fine.

Tosin is coming off of a hamstring injury. He didn't look very fluid. I think he will be fine.

I could tell he was tentative. We definitely need him to play well.

Let's not crank up the bus just yet to run Mehinti down.

RE: Lewis Sullivan will redshirt
Even though he's a senior it wouldn't surprise me to have Watts redshirt, as well. He's been sick and is obviously out of shape and not nearly ready to contribute. He's listed on the roster at 235lbs(Smallwood and Tosin are listed at 240 and 244, but are 7'0" and 6'9" - Watts is 6'2") which is about 15 lbs more than last year when he was overweight anyway. In addition, there is no way he plays ahead of Lavendar at the point..
