We haven't been out gained in a game since Auburn.

Despite being out gained 680 yards in the first two games, we have narrowed the margin to 270 yards.

The scores are what matters. Without turnovers and a failed punt we would have beaten USA 42-7. But we cant really say that, can we. Everyone in the country hss some postive stat that makes them look better than they are. If we consider it for you, we have to consider everyone's "here's why we're better than we look". It all evens out on the scoreboard. Before anyone calls me out, I'm guilty of it too. I'm just ready for everyone to play and find out who's who.

I never said anything about turnovers. I simply wanted to point out moving the football vs allowing the football to be moved.

I could have said, yeah if we hadn't turned it over 5 times against Southern we'd have won by 40.

Or I could have said yeah we were in full control of USA game but we started a true freshman left guard and our starting left tackle played on a bum ankle so we decided to sit on it at 17-0 and rode it out.

But, I don't want to discuss woulda/coulda/shoulda. I just like to look at numbers and find patterns and post them on message boards.

This is what I love about this place. A game thread between Arkansas State and Georgia State has only posts from ASU, Troy, and App fans.

No way man. Leg work went in to that. Had to go to each box score for individual game break downs.

I did cheat and add with a calculator though.

No you didn't. The Total offense for the season is listed on the same page of the statistics as the total yards for each game.

You'd have to be an idiot to miss that.

I'm on my phone looking at ESPN box scores.

And to be fair and balanced, I did Ga State too.

Are those dollar signs in front of the total yardage?

I really don't think that's the case. You guys just had a bad start to the season.

You don't think a 7-1 UCA could beat ULM, NMSU, and Texas State? Our clear 3 bottom teams right now?

No I don't.

Example... Troy blew out a Charleston Southern team 44-16 that only had one regular season loss to us... they were #8 in FCS and we finished 4-8 on the season...

Unless something epic happens, and the defense gets some pick 6s, I just don't see us having the offense to get the W here tonight. Plus, y'all usually destroy us here. But they have to play the game. We will see what happens.
