Remember the good old days when we had one.

RE: A free and independent press
I also remember when independent meant locally and privately owned.

I think a part of the problem is that both the print and broadcast media have consolidated into larger corporate entities. How many papers and TV stations does Gannett own? A lot.

Heck even Warren Buffet owns newspapers and he sure isn't unbiased.

Or Jeff Bezos.

Liberals took over journalism schools and brainwash students now.
Real journalism as a watchdog for the government as a whole is over.
MSM only has the chops to investigate those parties that they don't agree with...conservative ones.

Freshman English class 40 years ago our TA asked us to introduce ourselves, tell what our major was and why we chose it. The female journalism major's response was chilling, "I chose journalism because I want to be able to manipulate people's opinions.

Its obvious people like her dominate news organizations these days.

And the press is "free." Its just that little of it is independent. Much is owned by the DNC as they fear losing access to those in power. Obama has tried to freeze out Fox. The ones who aren't trying to manipulate people have no integrity. On TV there are no Walter Cronkites, Chet Huntleys or David Brinkleys.

RE: A free and independent press
The alternative and social media is decimating the MSM right now, and it's fun to watch. Some will get more views on a single Youtube video than CNN will get in an entire week.

Some must follows are: Alex Jones/Infowars, Paul Joseph Watson, Steven Crowder, Project Veritas/James O'Keefe, Millennial Millie, Matt Christiansen, Mark Dice, The Rubin Report (if you want someone left leaning that you can trust isn't brain washed), Daily Wire/Ben Shapiro, Roaming Millennial, Milo, Rebel Media/Lauren Southern, Right Side Broadcasting, Blaire White.

RE: A free and independent press
Still is. Now if you mean free, independent, and fair...that has never existed on a large scale.

More proof of the obvious....
