4 sports left. Softball is up next followed by outdoor track and field, then baseball.

Welp, golf really left us with no margin of error.

UTA and TXST should move to the top with their track performance.

UTA has advantage in baseball, TXST in softball.

It will be a tight race for the cup.

I'm gonna say that with our golf performance, it is Texas State's chance this year.

App State is the only school to sponsor every SBC sport, and is in danger of finishing 10th in the Bubbas Cup...

Don't think that is not being discussed some on our board. We do have OTF to help a bit. Much as I have done with the Bubas Cup I compiled cup points while App was in the SoCon and I even went back and made a huge spreadsheet of the SoCon cups from the time the SoCon Cups started in the late 60 and then the 1980's for women sports. I think this may be the worst year App has had in these competitions since the mid 1970's.

To be honest, it has not been as fun this year tracking all of the sports.

(Wrestling did very well in the SoCon, so there is that.)

It's down to baseball now and it's a 3 team race. South Alabama and Texas- Arlington are 6.5 points behind Texas State. South Alabama is in first place in the conference standings, UTA is third, Texas State is in a 3 way tie for seventh. USA plays host to Troy this weekend, who, like USA, is on a 5 game winning streak. UTA visits Texas State.

Texas State doesn't have to win the baseball tournament to win the Bubas Cup, they just have to hope South Alabama doesn't either. South Alabama is the #3 seed in the tournament.

As much as Texas State has screwed us this year, I'm rooting for USA if UTA does as I predict and have the team that finished the year 1-6 show up.

We could have cost South Alabama the Bubbas cup by raining out a game with UALR on a day when we could've played. Texas State winning made it moot, but that would have been hilarious.
