Actually, in looking at it on tv, it appeared as if Critcher extended his arm (which most of the time signals ready to the snapper) while looking back at Rubino one last time. McMurry snapped it and it got away from Bentlee.

It hit him in the face...not quite the same thing as getting away from. The Rubino throws his arms in the air as if to say "come on man, now we have to try it again", before realizing the play was live and he needed to get after the guy carrying the ball.
McMurry was also looking at Critcher when he snapped it, so i'm not sure where his attention was because Critcher was looking at Rubino.

The whole thing didn't make sense. Every time a FG is about to be kicked, I know i'm not the only one assuming it will be blocked, missed or botched.
