that's when salary offfers won't mean dick-ayatollah....

What the hell does that gibberish even mean? Maybe not feel the need to post in things you know jack crap about? But you will, you're sick that way.

If he proves he is worth more than that, his pay will increase.

okey dokie....let's break it down line by line for the 'not so literate'

when the big boys break away and ~80-90 schools are left trying to figure out what to do with same tv dollars available and realign, the pay scale for coaching will merge into a similar range for ALL the leftovers....

the Ayatollah ref was a simple play on words referencing those within an oligarchy that will be no longer and become part of the leftovers...

the smell during the rising sun was a ref to the BS that was EP

yeah, that was really tough to figure out (sigh)........capiche?

Meanwhile, Mark Hudspeth at ULL is getting 1.1 million (most in the Sunbelt) and Blake Anderson at Ark. State is getting 700k (2nd most in Sunbelt)...

ULL's record is 3-4
Ark State's record is 2-4

From what I recall, McGillis and Hopson were both very outspoken about his contract when he was hired. I am not sure if they pay him less to help with hiring assistants, to offset EC donations, attendance, or whatever but this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

I also believe it was Hop's way of saying he would come here for less because he knew the money could be used elsewhere, jmo.

I believe he has several incentive based bonuses written in to his contract as well.
