Ted Alexander.

I have to admit to ranting about Ted, especially when he gets all excited about the other team, but before we get too down on him, just remember the UTEP guys. I ended up turning the sound off the video feed and turning on the 94.1 radio feed, even though it wasn't quite synced.

03-lmfao

And stop it with all the moral victory comparisons. This is about wins & losses. I don't care who UTSA was competitive with. I do care that ODU beat them last year in San Antonio and this year in Norfolk.

I HIGHLY doubt we are winning 7 games this year
There is ZERO chance we win 8.

None.

I'd take Jeff jones making the final 4 this year over bobby wilder getting 8 wins with this team.
I needed to bring this one back for the Basketball team's good fortune.

Team has showed tremendous improvement and despite our extremely young team, has not worn down as the season progressed, which I thought they would.

Young teams often run out of steam at the end of the year, we've seemingly gotten stronger........bobby wilder deserves a TON of credit for that.

Let's hope we can finish the year out strong and have an outside shot to win Cusa!

The YNot guy got my change wrong. Fire him. But I wouldn't change a damn thing with the staff right now. Some aren't my favorites, but if it works, go with it.

The great thing about message boards is if you wait long enough a lot of posters look like manic depressives. How premature to call for the firing of a coach sitting at 7-3 with a very good chance of finishing the regular season at 9-3 in his third season in FBS?

I cringed every time a "Warrshington" was said. Not to mention they play commercials at breaks that go too long so you miss the 1st and sometimes 2nd down plays.

RE: New Coach?
Anyone care to take a stab now at relating our current position in CUSA to that terribly low recruiting that some were pointing out just a few weeks ago?

I'd say these coaches are killing it, given our perception among local coaches in the 757 and the crap stadium we're playing in. But that's just me...

You know, our stadium is a huge issue, but my retired ACC position coach friend says that we would get far more of a recruiting bump from an indoor practice facility.

Wasn't there another thread on this? I'd swear I looked up UNC's new facility for a post somewhere on here....might have been a UNC board tho. Either way, I agree. UNC's new facility will be about $21MM IIRC...

I know they are are a must-have for ACC schools, but what about CUSA? Do most schools have them or would one be something that sets us apart?

I totally don't get the indoor practice facility for football. Since you play the games outside in the weather, shouldn't you practice outside in the weather?

It makes sense in areas where the weather affects your practice schedule. Im not sure it is feasible for us.

The only time they are a necessity here is during hurricanes. But as proved this season, we can just use the VB fieldhouse.

An indoor facility for us would be strictly about recruiting.

For the most part.

Here is a good read:

Interesting.

1- 3 of 5 w/o an IPF are in sunny CA. Coral Gables is not in sunny CA. Norfolk is neither in CA or FLA.

2- 15 practices is a lot when you consider the limits set on practice time. I've heard it said that this is the real reason to make a bowl game--you're allowed extra practices compared to those that don't go bowling.
