Absolutely! Nothing wrong with having a little fun at your opponents expense. My brother in law is a Charlotte grad, I love giving him a hard time. But I was the first one there to congratulate him after the W last night. Gah, without smack talk, college football wouldn't be nearly as fun.

Inevitably there will come a time when Charlotte beats App. I hope to high hell you guys are around to lay into us. I'd be disapointed otherwise.

my remark had nothing to with MAR success since joining coos coos or their success the last handful of years....it was relative to branding and what flagship means relative to recognition....

think about it....when you look at the BiG, do you think MICH/OSU/MSU or go, "man....WISC, MINN, NW, IND are the fizz-nizzy....

winning history and branding relative to recognition falls under the, "who are these other guys" category....you don't have to like it.....

one day you'll hopefully become old enough to understand how thingys actually work....

....and that is what MAR has done on the gridiron over the last handful of years.....however, now, like the rest of us, recruiting has become much more difficult with the addition of 20+ D1 (or whatever stupid acronym someone with nothing better to do changed it to) teams over the last few decades.....they now have a serious qb issue and apparently a coaching issue....

as a collective, the g5 are nothing more than spot hitters.....flagship is a spot hitting "flagship" role that doesn't exist in the g5 by definition....I don't think anyone thinks MAR is BSU or NIU....and BSU and NIU are realizing nobody really cares about them either.....the g5 is only and ever the underdog....shite, this conference can't even stream games 100%....if I can't see ya, why would I know 'it' exists?

and to pile on with this logic, MAR should've been a candidate for the ackk ahead of whooolame, tulswhooo, and smooomoowhooo

perception and historical achievement is one of those intangible immeasurables that still have value in the end....

you'll understand better in ~8 yrs when the uber flagship programs split and leave the water carrying sub-ords to scramble to figure it out with a shiteload less money and the perceived underdogs when their current tv contracts run out....

We aren't the flagship program, never was. That's USM. We are a tiny irrelevant program that will likely never have another winning season. Between our serious lack of funding and our location, we can't grow like other programs.
