If Houston wins out, they'll go... None of the others will be able to jump them.

If G5 has undefeated team(s)
1. Boise
2. WMU

If G5 has only 1 loss teams, it could get really tricky. AAC probably has the hardest road to go only have a one loss team.

USF - Has to play Navy and Mem
Mem - Navy and Houston
Houston = Louisville and Memphis

If Boise or WMU lose their championship game, you could have a wild card champ with Troy at 11-1 with only a six point loss to #2 Clemson. Kinda hard to say they would not be deserving. I think App vs Troy will decide the SBC Champ. I hope this game is picked up by ESPN.

1 Loss Boise still gets in first. As will a one loss Houston based off of strength of schedule alone. I'm not even sure a Houston team with another loss to Louisville doesn't still get in first. Troy would need everyone from the MWC/AAC/MAC to have 2 losses for it to even be up for debate. Also Navy has one loss, not two. Air Force is their only loss so far.

Houston does not control its own destiny, even if it wins out with a win over Louisville. Navy will have to lose 2 AAC games or the Cougars will have to settle for Military/Birmingham/St. Pete/Miami Beach Bowl.

Yeah, the AAC is really a crapshoot right now, the Navy win really threw a monkey-wrench into the whole affair. And with Louisville hanging over Houston's head, it's hard to see them jumping an unbeaten Boise or even WMU. I also think USF is the dark-horse here. Surprisingly, Navy's only played 5 games (they've got a long way to go).

The AAC is wanting to promote themselves as the sixth P5 conference. Retake their place where the Big East was, even though non of these team were actually in the football conference Big East when they were a real BCS conference.

Houston losing to Navy put a real thorn in the side of that. Undefeated, with wins over Oklahoma and this seasons Louisville team could/should have been enough to get them into the playoffs.

The G5 can do a lot to change the narrative in this, but just can't seem to get a team undefeated in the right season. You can't claim to be on the same level as Clemson or Alabama and then lose to Navy. That only makes you Notre Dame, and they are irrelevant too.

uh....uconn? cinci? usf? Miami left in 2004,Pitt in 2013, VT in 2004, WV in 2012. UConn and Cinci both went to bcs bowls and usf got as high as number 2 in the country at one point. And even now one can argue that theyre as good or better than the big 12. Throw in basketball and theyre one of the conferences out there.

Good point, but I think that every other conference in the NCAA, NAIA, JC, etc. are just as much conferences too.

That's true. My bad on the oversight.
