You know it's scary when more people trust the National Enquirer than any of the major media outlets (or the candidates themselves for that matter).

I want to laugh this one off really.. but the NE seems to get their "scandal" articles right quite a bit more than you'd think.

Well I trust the NE as much as the NYT on anything tied to politics. Maybe more.

Weren't they first or among the first to break the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal?

National Enquirer did not break the Lewinsky blue dress. Drudge did.

National Enquirer did break:
• Jesse Jackson's love child
• John Edwards affair with Rielle Hunter and love child
• Gary Hart affair (which likely cost him the presidency)
• Tiger Woods and the many affairs
• OJ Simpson's Bruno Magli shoes connection to the crime
• Rush Limbaugh's addiction to pain killers
• Steve Jobs cancer

While the National Enquirer does run and print plenty of schlock, they do have a track record for breaking some very salacious news that was indeed true.
