Bowl Game Projections (updated 11/26)
Let's start with who makes it in. I'll break it into tiers and list number of wins and remaining games.

Already in - Alabama (12 wins), A&M (8), Auburn (8), Florida (8), Tennessee (8), Arkansas (7), Georgia (7), LSU (7), Kentucky (7), South Carolina (6), Vandy (6)

Needs help - Miss St (5, 971 APR)
Ole Miss (5, 958 APR)

OUT: Missouri (4)

So eleven conventionally eligible, one out, and two having a small possibility of making it.

There is a small possibility that one of these teams gets in at 5-7. 5-7 teams are picked strictly based on APR after all 6-6 teams have been picked. Last year Nebraska (985), Minnesota (975), and Fresno St (975) were the three that made the cut. Missouri (976) would have made the cut but declined due to their coaching change.

This particularly could come into play with regards to Vandy who in my opinion will finish 5-7 and whose third year coach would gladly take the boost.

RE: Way Too Soon - Bowl Games
Thinking out loud here:

Alabama: Playoff (13-0)
Sugar: Tennessee (9-3)
Orange: Florida (8-4)
BWW Citrus Bowl: TAMU (8-4)
Texas Bowl: Arkansas (8-4)
Liberty Bowl: Kentucky (6-6)
Belk Bowl: Georgia (6-6)
Music City Bowl: LSU (6-5)
Outback Bowl: Auburn (8-4)
TaxSlayer Bowl: South Carolina (6-6)
Independence Bowl: Ole Miss (6-6)
Birmingham Bowl: Vandy (5-7)

Missouri (3-9) and Miss St (4-8) get left out

I'll make a prediction: Tennessee in the Citrus bowl. Just too many teams to beat out for a spot in the Sugar, Cotton or Orange.

Probably right on that one. Tennessee does have a very easy remainder of the season so 10-2 is quite possible.

A&M might get that second slot though if Tennessee loses to Bama again in the SECCG

I'm seeing Citrus as a third or fourth spot. Alabama to the Peach Bowl, Texas A&M to the Sugar. Possibly one of Florida/LSU/Auburn to the Cotton or Orange.

I would love for Arkansas to get the Cotton bowl vs either Oklahoma or Baylor.

Bump with updates from today's slate (LSU/Ole Miss pending)

Looking like Miss St will definitely be left home. Missouri and likely South Carolina will join them based on remaining schedules.

Kentucky and Vandy may squeak in but need a few breaks.

Way Too Soon - Bowl Games (updated 10/22)
Representatives from the Liberty Bowl were at the Kentucky game. I would expect the Wildcats to beat Missouri and Austin Peay easily. Georgia and Tennessee may be winnable as well, so Kentucky could finish 8-4.

I actually could see Georgia not winning a game the rest of the season, except for Louisiana.

I'm very surprised with how Kentucky has done this year. That game will ultimately come back haunt SC I think. Don't see how we get to 6 wins even though I think the team is getting better.

An upset over Tennessee is our best shot (assuming we can win Missouri and Western Carolina)

Maybe I am used to awful football being a UK fan, but I didn't really think you guys looked that bad, it was clear you had a young team and very inexperienced QB, and a new coaching staff, of course you are not where you want to be but I think it's obvious you guys are getting better as the year is going by. I think you beat Mizzou and WCU for sure, and I don't think the UT game is out of the question, it is in Columbia, right?

UT, Missouri, WC at home. Florida and Clemson on the road.

UT is our first night game in two years so there should be a great crowd on hand. Maybe we catch them at the rot time with a lot of injuries. Kamara should be out for them and SC is starting to get guys healthy.

I wonder how excited LSU would be to play Western Michigan in a bowl game? lol.

Ark vs Baylor wouldn't be a bad. Was kinda hoping we'd schedule them OOC for those two years Michigan backed out. Contrast in styles would be interesting.

Rematch of Aub vs FSU? I'm sure those teams would get swapped around.

Yeah, I doubt LSU fans get too excited for that one but Western Michigan could be undefeated which would be interesting at least.

It's been a few years since Auburn/FSU so that one might not be to bad.

I'd be happy with SC playing Wake Forest. The other projection had us playing OK State which would be a bad mismatch.

Spurrier always did say that you couldn't spell Citrus without UT.

Probably not going to do a UT Northwestern rematch
