Power Rankings After Week 7
Number in parenthesis is last week rank.
1. (2) Ohio State: No argument if you think Michigan should be #1. I am very close between the two and might have let my rooting interest be the tie-breaker.
2. (1) Michigan: Wins almost all look good.
3. (3) Wisconsin: They have 2 losses, but they were close and were to the #1 and #2. If these ranking were just rankings and it didn't say power ranking, I'd put Nebraska higher, but at the end of the day, I think Wisconsin beats Nebraska and thus will give them this spot.
4. (4) Nebraska: 6-0. Already more wins that in the regular season last year. Very nice to see.
5. (5) Penn State: Not really sold on them here, but think they are being underestimated some.
6. (6) Northwestern: Was not surprised by them beating Michigan State at all.
7. (7) Iowa: I am keeping them below Northwestern thanks to head to head reasons, but I think Iowa is on the rise and will push past the Wildcats before the end of the year.
8. (9) Indiana: Have been in every game. Still somewhat mixed on where I think this team ends up. Would like to see one more good win by the Hoosiers.
9. (8) Minnesota: Played on the road without their quarterback and won a good game.
10. (11) Michigan State: Moved up a spot thanks to Maryland's troubles, but a lot missing from this year vs. past years here.
11. (10) Maryland: I know they missed their quarterback and with him back, will probably go up a bit. That said, Minnesota didn't have theirs either and Maryland was home.
12. (12) Purdue: The win vs. Illinois keeps them here, but I wouldn't take them in a rematch. Coaching change already announced.
13. (13) Illinois: Good turn around this week finally. Still, not likely to end up moving up much here.
14. (14) Rutgers: Major issues. Probably will address several of them before end of year, but it is hard to see anymore wins on their schedule right now (at least where they won't be big underdogs).

This week (based on my rankings):
#14 Rutgers at #9 Minnesota
#3 Wisconsin at #7 Iowa
#8 Indiana at #6 Northwestern
#13 Illinois at #2 Michigan
#12 Purdue at #4 Nebraska
#10 Michigan State at #11 Maryland
#1 Ohio State at #5 Penn State

RE: Power Rankings After Week 7
1) OSU - Like Ohio said, #1 and 2 are very close. The CFB will start early with these two playing, assuming the winner also wins their conference championship game. Since OSU is at home, I will make them #1
2) Michigan - Remarkable how quickly this team got scary under Harbaugh.
3) Wisconsin - Solid #3. Hung in with OSU. Better than Nebraska, IMO.
4) Nebraska
5) Iowa - Expected much more from them this year.
6) PSU - They have a great shot of beating Iowa at home and finishing 9-3. Not playing lights out, but good enough.
7) NW
8) Minnesota
9) Indiana
10) Maryland - A favorable schedule should get Durkin and co to a bowl in his first season. I think they will beat MSU and Rutgers.
11) MSU - Looking at a 4-8 season if they don't wake up, fast.
12) Illinois - Long way to go to put it back together. However, they beat Rutgers in their house.
13) Purdue - At least they arent Rutgers.
14) Rutgers - Hoping Ash is selling big picture to recruits. Feels like most rational people understand the program won't sniff a bowl until 2018, at least. This year's offense is simply a disaster. Maybe they will win one more game, but I doubt it.

RE: Power Rankings After Week 7
Well, Rutgers finally at least showed up in a game. They're definitely still dead last for sure, but if we can at least be in the game the rest of the way we should keep the recruiting class together.
