WBB: All Ohio point guard picks the Rockets
5-5 Sophia Fortner, an All-Ohio point guard from Wadsworth High school has given a verbal to Tricia Cullop for the 2018 class. Fortner, who will sit out this season recovering from ACL surgery, joins teammate Lexi Lance in picking Toledo.

How many verbals is that? At least five, I think, including Copeland, Cummings, and Washington-Polk. It would seem that we're counting on some players (other than the two seniors) leaving the team after this season? We have 14 now, so we have openings for three for next year.

This is an '18 verbal.

We have 3 verbals for '17. Copeland, Zaria Wright, and Tatyana Davis, all guards. All three have been photographed at UT together on a visit. They would fill out the roster as it stands today.

This makes 4 verbals for '18 that I am aware of, along with Ariel Cummings, Teneea Heston and Lexi Lance. 1 big, 1 wing and 2 guards. There should be 4 openings for '18.

Thanks for clarifying. I guess Dai'Shona Washington-Polk must have withdrawn her verbal.
