QB Controversies
Munchie Legaux vs Brandon Kay was the prior controversy.

First, Munchie is beloved for his devotion to UC success. His strength was his ability to both run and throw.

That said, is not the Munchie vs Kay story the same as the Gunner vs Trail/Moore controversy?

Eventually CBJ was forced - forced to go to Kay by failure on the field.

Will at some time this year our current fool be forced to go to Gunner?

What is it that drives coaches to QB decisions that are seemingly nonsense?

Is my history correct?

The dynamic of choosing a QB is clearly a defining decision for a HC.

I'll bite. The difference between the Munchie/Kay QB controversy and this years is not the same.

Back in 2013 Tubberville was enamored with Munchies dual-threat ability and thus truly believed he gave UC the best shot at winning games. And Kay only got the starting job because Munchie was injured in the second game. If not for the injury I suspect Munchie would have continued to be the UC QB that year.

This year, Moore & Trail are getting the playing time over Gunner because of something that happened off the field. Tubberville doesn't actually believe those two guys give UC a better shot at winning.
