I disagree. You just called up Coastal, and not too long ago App St and Geo Southern. All three are eagerly looking to spend more than ULM, if not doing so already. There are others who want to do so, as well. Although JMU doesn't want the Sun Belt, Eastern Kentucky does. So would Jax St, though probably impossible to get them approved with USA and Troy already in the state. Perhaps Missouri St, as well. And maybe even Wichita St, if it gets desperate enough.

Plenty of options, if ULM won't "play ball". If they want to spend like a Southland team, after being DI-A for decades, then it's high time to give them an ultimatum.

ULM won't be given an ultimatum for a while. But yes, ULM's lack of success and lack of investment have been noted by their peers.

For right now, ULM is lucky that they're sitting in the middle of the footprint.

Now, if 3 CUSA schools came to the Belt and asked to join as a package, and the Belt was looking to eject someone, then it might come up. UALR and UTA would probably vote no, and so ULM would only need 2 other votes to stop the ejection process (ULL?, stAte?). Barring that unlikely scenario, ULM will probably just keep on keeping on.

But for now, we're just going to let things hang. ULM has a win over Arkansas and Alabama in the last 10 years.
