Looks like less than 10,000 butts in the seats. Not looking forward to next Saturday when, if not for Homecoming Weekend, the crowd size would likely be closer to 5,000.

I believe the east side has often been worse than that. UT-SA has some fans and there are more students than is usual these days

Yes, but the lower level of the West side appears to be as empty as I've ever seen it.

Compared to the UNT game, it looks like a BIG Rice student turnout.

Many of the "students" were actually parents. It's Parents Weekend.

Away from here during the game but this is the thread it should be posted on. Before the game, I went to the ticket drawer to get this week's tickets and saw that we have three more home games. Seeing that I could not have less enthusiasm..........

I predict a partial sellout for the November 5 battle with Florida Atlantic.

And I'm sure you realize that score in OT could occur only in the third or later OT period.
We could theoretically choose to go for 2 in an earlier OT period or get it accidentally on a broken play on the XP.
OK, you are correct, we could go for two if we scored first, but that is unlikely. A broken play on the XP would probably be equally unlikely.
But you get my point.
I think the only way to win 14-0 in OT is to score 8 in the top half of the OT and return a TO for a TD in the bottom half.
Yes.

RE: UTSA @ Rice pre-game thread and predictions!
Sorry about the multiple pictures (and in the wrong thread as well)....Bailiff was telling me how to post it.
As far as next week I suspect the crowd will be better than last night if a good many of the alums decide to wander into HRS instead of staying outside in the tents or on campus. PV should bring more folks than UTSA for two reasons....they couldn't get tickets to the A&M which of course is not a problem at Rice, a good many PV students are from Houston.

I sat upper west (love the view), so I didn't get a view of lower west.
I agree with DFW, UTSA had a decent traveling crowd, and student section wasn't bad by recent standards.

Now if we can just get the parents and siblings to come to every home game and sit in the student section...
