I'm sure UC would find value in that as well if we were also given $30 million a year for being a conference doormat.

You know the Purdue AD is grinning ear to ear every week he takes that check to the bank and it doesn't bounce.

Their AD for the past 2 months is Mike Bobinski, formerly of XU.

Are you suggesting that being a G5 team in the AAC is keeping UC from doing what needs to be done?

So.... What you are saying is that if UC acts fast, we can grab a coach with Big Tem cred on the rebound... Maybe having Hazell as our FB coach can help UC get into the Big Ten...

Ps... Total sarcasm.

OT but Purdue just fired Hazell today. Apparently they saw value to not waiting until the end of the season.

Think they have to pay Hazel 4.5 million.

Big Ten's new TV deal and shared CFP money is going to pay them ~$45M a year. A $4.5M buyout is chump change to Purdue and other schools in that conference.

Strategic move to get cozy with PJ Fleck me thinks. If I were Bohn I would call Urban and ask him who the superstar coordinators, rising stars, in the BIG are. OSU is going to get who they want in Ohio anyway, and UC getting better at recruiting this area doesn't help othe BIG schools.
