So far, the SEC has played 20 non-conference games, and we have a not-so-impressive 12-8 record. And 2 of those 8 wins came against Div IAA teams.
What the hell is going on? I'm not trying to make up excuses for losing to Memphis State, there are no excuses for that, but I am concerned somewhat as to the "dominance" that we once owned as a conference. It appears to be in a serious downward spiral. I have my opinions on why we have stumbled a bit in OOC play, but am a little reluctant to post them here for all the non-SECers to rant about.

when you play sub-par ooc most of the time, you play down to them. when you play a good occ you get waxed.one of our problems is we beat the crap out of each other in conf and don't normally play good ooc to learn anything new. we're to afraid to change our playbook.

I hate to play the victim card but with all the probations throughout the SEC just in the past decade it had to catch up with us sometime. I agree with you, though. The SEC ain't what it used to be. :bang:

Umm, I highly doubt it. In fact, VU may pull out the win.

We certainly aren't Cinderella or Prince Charming of the football world anymore. We are more like an ugly step sister or (excuse the expression all of you good hawg fans) we are more like the "3 little pigs" X 4.

What time is that game? I want to watch it but I'll be watching the Rebs win (hopefully).

Care to make a friendly wager? :)

Keep in mind people laughed at me when I said Tech would take out Auburn.

Yeah, GTS, I'll make an avatar bet with you for a week following that game. GT wins, you pick my avatar. VU wins, I pick yours! Deal?

Cool, loser has to sport the avatar of the winner's choice for one week? Say from Mon 9/22-9/29 @ midnight?

Correction: I had the dates wrong, that should work now. For some reason, I had it in my head that the GT-VU game was this weekend. It is not. :stupid:
