From Wikileaks.. (yes, it's 2015 but it's still relevant!)

But this is the REALLY damning one, IMO.

And See #2 on this list.

Not to excuse the Trump audio that came out over the weekend, it's obvious that the media sat on this info until the weekend to try to disrupt the debate. Trump adroitly spun his way right out of that quagmire. Too bad he wasn't more prepared for the rest of the debate. It was nothing but attack with SOME details. He could have driven some real positives yesterday with a better handle on policy AND what he would do differently. IMHO, another lost opportunity.

Well whenever He could start, the Mods changed directions and became Rude.

Polls have always been skewered , We know it , the Libs surely know it, You just needs to be vocal about it to whomever You chat with to head it off. These are paid Attack Dogs . If You were to get a call, which BTW is designed Not Too, You are confronted with a persistent voice that tries to influence your reply to a positive for Their personal candidates. Even 1 positive answer for Their candidate means You support Them when the poll actually comes out.

I don't think any of that means what you think it means. Especially if you think it means every single polling firm is in cahoots to bring Hillary's numbers up now. They all say Clinton leads 5-12 points or so (even Ras has her up 7) so if I enter into this into my Unthkew Calculator....holy **** it's actually Trump up by 25!!

not all of them have Hillary up btw.. LA Times last poll (at least the report I saw yesterday) is Trump still up by +2.

But again, I don't read much into that one either.

But any poll put out by a media source (including the LA Times), such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc... the alphabet soup media. Is looking for a way to slant the polls in pro-Hillary favor. So they put out pro-Hillary/anti-Trump articles and then ask people who are watching those stories (for the most part)...

What kind of result do you expect.

That's whY I think these type of notices are absolutely important when people go on "poll binges".

You don't really need any pole to know that the Republican candidate was already behind due to demographics and the candidate has done nothing to win the groups he needed to win to overcome that. I think we see him take 40% of the popular vote, maybe.

You're wrong though. That's not how it works. Media outlets sponsor polls, yes, but they're generally not the ones conducting the polling. Take LA Times. It's USC that's doing the polling. NBC and Wall Street Journal use Marist University. Quinnipiac does its own poll without a media sponsor. Some are professional polling firms instead of universities, but what they all have in common is an interest in getting the results right to a. not embarrass themselves and b. continue to get business and publicity for subsequent cycles. The media outlet pays/subsidizes the costs of the polling but they're not the ones doing the work.

Not to mention, there have been a couple of times where these same polls showed favorable results for Trump. If they just wanted to pump up Hillary they're doing a terrible job.
