The defense, however......like last year, they're atrocious against any team with a pulse.

Its not like we have been playing good defenses. Rice gives up the most yardage in the country. Kentucky and utep are pretty bad on defense too. Recently kentucky has gotten better bc they changed who calls the defensive plays. Utep gives up 38 a game. We had over 600 yards against savahnah. Our play calling at key points in the game has been very questionable at times. Of course, we would have more yards if not for the drops.

The good news is that marshall and charlotte are terrible on defense too and we have them left to play. La tech gives up 33.5 a game too.

Defense has been pretty much lights out except for utsa. However, i dont see how its possible to even slow lsu down this week. I also dont see how we can score a touchdown with our starters. Lsu has possibly the best defense in the country. They are getting better virtually every week.

Also except for the entire 1st half vs. Kentucky, the 190 yards rushing and nearly 40 points given up vs Troy, and the multiple long 3rd and 4th down conversions allowed to everyone over the course of the season.

The biggest problem with the offense is it's not scoring enough points to overcome all the points the defense is allowing. Right now, we're kinda in the same boat as WKU a couple of years ago or ourselves in the first few years under Fedora.

Yep, as in "turn the lights out so we can't see any more of this crap."

Yes. I said "pretty much." All those numbers for ky were in 1st half. 309 yards from troy is great defense. We gave them a short field with 4 turnovers. We certainly gave up some rushing yards to rice but holding to 346 is pretty good and we gave them 4 turnovers as well.

If we give up 4 TOs to LSU, they may score 70. I will consider it a small victory if LSU punts in the game.

The turnovers obviously don't help the cause, but the defense doesn't just get a free pass every time the other team starts with the ball inside our 45. Theyi still have the option of making a stop or at least holding the damage to a FG.

This is a great case for waving the 'nasty bunch' flag on the sidelines. 03-banghead

Giving up a 93-yard run on 3rd and 14......I honestly have no clue how that happens on purpose.

Well, they were running the Steve Spagnuolo defense on that play.
