UNH Roll Call - 10/15/16
Just got my ticket for next Saturday's game. (All of my usual gameday partners are busy that day, so going solo.)
I know it's still a week away, but who's coming up to see the foliage and watch the Dukes stomp the Wildcats?

I've already studied my game film for them. I feel like I'm very prepared for whatever they bring.

RE: UNH Roll Call - 10/15/16
Been trying to con the wife into a road trip to UNH for several years now. Thought this might be the year but her family has a gathering this Saturday so I will be doing my best driver impression instead of heading up to UHN. Hummm how far is UNH from NYC we wonders?
GO DUKES!!

What's the parking/tailgating situation for UNH? We're flying up to Boston, and staying in Portsmouth, NH on Friday night. Given that it's a 12:00 kick, probably won't tailgate too much, but curious where the JMU folks usually congregate.

Saxkow might have a current perspective since they just redid the stadium and they may have changed some parking. We were last there in 2013 and parked in A lot which seems to be a General Parking lot, there were some Purple folks there and some low key tailgating. It is across the road from the Stadium complex Field House. On the Stadium side of the road there is a large lot, called Boulder, which is an easy walk from the end zone entrance. Usually there are some JMU purple in the Boulder lot but I got the sense that they were somewhat local alums who came with UNH friends. We walked that lot last time and there were some JMU football parents there who perhaps paid more/ had access / got there early and got into that lot. Walking around I could not consume all the beer I was offered in that Boulder lot. It is generally a welcoming and friendly crowd. In all likelihood we will park in A lot, and start roaming.

RE: UNH Roll Call - 10/15/16
Last time, I parked in Boulder (which is easiest for me since that's the direction I come from). Decent amount of JMU fans there tailgating. From what I've seen, that lot is now $20 while A Lot is $15. Tailgating opens at 8am, but I doubt it will be that busy that early - the forecast right now is the mid-30s at 8am warming to the mid-50s by gametime. The crowd will almost certainly be very friendly and actually interested to see JMU fans who made the trip - just like we would welcome UNH fans down at Bridgeforth. (They reserve their hostility for Maine fans.)

RE: UNH Roll Call - 10/15/16
The 1st time I came (in 06') was that record crowd described in the other thread (where UNH was ranked #1, their HC game). We literally sat in traffic for a 1/2 hr once getting off the highway on that 2 lane road getting to parking. The tailgate lots were full and had to park in a non tailgating lot.
11' & 13' Nov games way smaller crowds. No traffic holdups & breezed right into Boulder couple hours before the game- that lot didn't get full.
I'll be coming +1. I guess will park in Boulder.

Could make it in bout 4 hrs IF you didn't hit traffic (Google say 4:16 NYC to UNH).
