Our Thursday night game last year, 24 Sep v. Cincinnati, was 45K.

Memphis was 3-0 coming off a big win @BGU. Plus it was vs. Cinci.

This year, coming off a loss playing the jewish version of a church.

I agree it won't be 45k, Temple is not a brand name nor will they bring anybody (I highly doubt Cinci brought very many fans for a Thursday night game in Memphis). If it is nice and not too hot, I would expect around 37k.

Go Tigers!

Screw that. Under 40k would be a slap in the face.

When are Tiger fans going to realize we have something really special building here?

The Tigers are 3-1 heading into conference play. We could not have asked for anything better when looking at the schedule.

If we want to be Big Time we as fans need to begin acting as Big Time fans.

Buy an extra ticket and bring a buddy.

I have recruited 10 college students who play basketball with my son at Birmingham Southern to come up from The HAM Thursday night to experience tailgating at Tiger Lane and the atmosphere at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium

Please help me send these kids back to BSC singing the praises of coming to Memphis to watch Big Time football. Their other option is to go only 70 miles away to go to bama games.

We have to build our loyalty one fan at a time.

These Birmingham Southern students are either in Business School or pre-Med. I'm doing my best to convince the Biz majors to come get their Masters degree at Fogleman.

Seriously this small board of Tiger fans can single handily add an extra 5,000 fans if we all simply buy some extra $15 tickets and bring a friend or two.

We have a great program rolling so please don't get complacent and allow a loss to Ole Miss derail our enthusiasm. They have 10x the football budget we do so to only be down 6 points late in the 3rd Q is a miracle and we should be proud.

Let's win the AAC!!!!

Man we have an excuse for everything . It's funny how schools with fans that show up no matter the opponent or record never make them.

Fans will figure out something special is building here when the ticket prices go through the roof like they are at other schools. But then it will be too late.

It's not an excuse, it is simply a the method by which I would guess attendance.

If you have younger kids it's tough because it's a 7pm start on a school night, so if normally mom, dad, and 2 kids go to the saturday game, you might lose 4 people right there (or 3 if dad still goes). It's on TV. Temple doesn't resonate in football.

We try to always measure ourselves against SEC schools, but we live in a real city, not some podunk hicktown like Starkville, Auburn, or Tuscaloosa where there is little to do and nothing else to have pride in.

I agree. Never understood why folks don't try to get someone out in their place. I'm out of town on business but i have butts in my seats belonging to folks who will be there, cheer, and stay.

We need north of 40K for this game. Would love closer to 50 to look good on TV. This team is fun to watch and deserves our support.

Relax. Thursday night against Temple. Don't expect too much. Move down and try the new seats on the visitors side. You'll be comfy and on TV.

They could hit near 40K if they do the Kroger tickets and make the push for the local schools/youth every week.

Other than that, be happy with the 33-35K and glad it's not the 17K of not too long ago.

RE: Attendance predictions for Thursday night?
I've been trying to recruit friends and co-workers. Of the 40 or so I've invited, only a handful say they'll make it. Getting a lot of excuses about kid activities, it's right after work, Friday is a work day, yada, yada, yada.

So, based on that, I've come to 2 conclusions - 1) the attendance will be lower than I hoped - maybe 32-35ish and 2) I need new friends.
