On the SB call, ASU Coach Blake Anderson says QB DJ Pearson was dismissed from the team Sunday, "based off of his actions off the field."

DJ Pearson was arrested on a DWI charge Sunday morning, according to the Craighead County jail roster.

That leaves ASU with three scholarship QBs. Anderson said Logan Bonner will move from scout team to No. 3 in the immediate.

Pearson's second DWI this season. Kid clearly had issues.

That's our 3rd scholarship QB to leave within 4 months.

He's our 3rd string QB. Likely would be our 3rd string QB next season. His dismissal won't affect our season other than maybe showing that Anderson is going to start getting his house in order.

Not to say this is the way it is, but it could potentially also be compared to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The real question is now, who is your scout team QB for our offense? Obviously most of your practicing is done at this point, but that first half might look rough if you weren't able to replicate our offense well.

In between missing out on the Big12 and this....we have plenty of excuses for this game.

Replicating this GS offense isn't hard. The stAte practice squad might look just as crisp as what walks out on the field for us. Shame for our players, but little confidence in the Rance dance.

That's what I was thinking. Pretty easy to mimick an OL standing still and an RB running into their backs.
