RE: Big Ten Power Rankings
Writing mine before looking at those:
1. Ohio State: This is the team we kept expecting to see last year (and I didn't expect to see this year). I don't expect things to stay as they are (undefeated with the schedule and a few injuries is tough), but for right now, the most complete teams.
2. Michigan: It had to be Michigan or Wisconsin next and the Wolverines won. The difference to me is while both have great defenses, Michigan has the better offense.
3. Wisconsin: Great start to the season and definite favorite to win the west despite the Michigan loss in my mind.
4. Nebraska: They are getting a few breaks this year (very unlike last year). In retrospect, the Oregon win isn't as good as it looked at the time, but still can't put anyone else higher.
5. Maryland: The next several are very close in mind, but I am going to give the edge to Maryland here as they are still undefeated.
6. Penn State: The team knows how to come from behind. I think they will be getting better as season goes on more than most.
7. Northwestern: If this were just ranking instead of power rankings, I'd put them a bit lower with 2 non-conference losses, but I don't feel quite as much push to with the word power in there. I could see them falling further down or competing for the division.
8. Indiana: Great win for the Hoosiers and this might be a great year for them.
9. Iowa: The Iowa State win is still a good one, but nothing since then seems quite right. I don't think this team is actually all that different from last year, but it is missing something.
10. Michigan State: Down year for both Big Ten Championship Game teams from last year. The Spartans may well take someone good down this year, but down here temporarily.
11. Minnesota: They were so close against Penn State. Now they battle for the Pig.
12. Rutgers: I debated between them and the Illini and ended up putting the Scarlet Knights higher. Schedule does Rutgers no favors though in a rough start to Big Ten play.
13. Illinois: I don't really like have the Illini down this far, but I can't justify moving them up much either.
14. Purdue: No question here for the moment. I think a coaching change is in the future.

RE: Big Ten Power Rankings
Now looking at rankings, looks like biggest difference was our placement of Minnesota. I am not quite as sold on them yet.
