But to question the character of people because of it is a bit much. Maybe we really do only have 1 satellite truck ? I have no idea. But most likely money is the reason behind things like this. They have to pick and choose where to spend resources. I can't blame them for that. If saving on things like this allows us to spend a few thousand more on the recruiting budget, I'm all for it.

I have a friend who worked as an intern with the football program recently, he said that there are times when the staff has to pick their battles (especially with top players we have a slim chance of getting). Not because they don't think we are good enough for that player (like people accused Bower of). But because we can't afford to waste money sending hundreds of letters and spending a lot of money on any recruit that we have like a 1% chance of getting.

The big programs will flood a big recruit with hundreds of letters. I've seen kids post on social media where a school had sent him 100 hand written letters in like a month. It may seem silly, but kids like that kind of attention. It may not seem like much, but when your recruiting budget is as small as ours, stuff like that adds up quickly.

Like stamps are expensive?

we can't all be, say, lsu, where the top recruiting expenses are hookers, crack, and bail.

I'm sure they're really going to pay a lot of attention to you. Sense you donate so much and are such a good ambassador for the University . And don't forget all those season-tickets you buy.
They'll hang up on you before you get two SOBs out of your mouth.
We are so fortunate to have you and your band a little trolls on this board.
BTW, I was out of town and missed the game on radio and or streaming and I'm not happy about it. But for whatever reason they did it, I hope it was a good one.

Yes Beers, I meant 20 to the same kid. That kind of thing happens now. I saw one kid post on twitter last year that Florida State sent 100 letters on his birthday. A couple years back, Norte Dame sent all of their top targets 477 letters each on the same day. They called them ''pots of gold''. Remember that big nose guard Kentucky had that we whipped all night ? Kentucky sent him 100 letters one day and he posted it on twitter. The next day, Notre Dame sent him over 250.

I saw a kid just last week post a picture of like 7 or 8 hand written letters our staff at USM had sent him that morning. I agree that it's a bit ridiculous. But that's the game now. You have to play it.

I wasn't able to attend this past week, but I had some friends ask if I watched it. Told them no, no television anywhere. They were like "That's strange, because we sure had tv time outs and the guy with the red hat was stopping play for it."

Attendance should've been better then.

Media timeouts occur tv or not, just like basketball. Just not as many
