Quote:The Tyler School of Art at Temple University took to their Twitter account to brag about the art installation, which is located on a central quad at the Philadelphia-based institution. Although the project’s meaning remains unclear, it hasn’t stopped community members and internet commentators from speculating about the artist’s motivation.
This guy nailed it.

@TylerArtSchool Kara Springer shows the world that a talentless hack can get attention just by whoring her race.
A commonly used font screen printed against a black background and stretched around a wooden frame counts as art? WTF? If I worked in a sign shop I wouldn't even hire her. It's boring, poor spacing between her 'sentences', the material isn't stretched tight, and it needs a backing to keep the sunlight from shining through and making the frame visible.
I suppose we shouldn't expect much more from an "art student".
As for her "message", someone should remind her that change comes from within whether it be a person, group, country, or race.
Great morning motivator. I think that I will do something. Maybe build a fortune 500 company, cure a disease or just get a pumpkin spiced latte. So many choices.

My wife could do better with her pallet art side project. And her degree is far more productive than an art degree.
