Shorten the video and remove Teds voice!
Couldn't agree more. When is this guy gonna learn to just do play by play in a calm, clear, mature way and stop being a drama queen.
Yeah, like Dave Rosenfield.
Better still, Mercurio. He could talk about the 1975 Cardinals and JMU football during the highlights.

You can't change your personality. Ted's is what it is and I think he's improved by leaps and bounds through the years. It's Mashaw that gives me the willies, and every time I hear Ripley, I wonder whether he's related to the head of our BOV and that's how he got the job. He's awful

Why even speak that idiots name? He was horrible to listen to and outright an enemy to ODU.

RE: 2016 game atmosphere thread
Like I stated in my previous post, I haven't attended a game this year or last except for the NC State game. But I did go to every home game in the first 6 years we had a team. I always felt like our entrance was a little too blocky. Back when it was simple, it was the intro video, crazy train, run out, and cannon. It was a little too simple but it worked for what we had, but it was still blocky. I used to lead the team out with the ODU flags and I learned how it was all set up. The problem with Crazy Train is that it has an epic intro but then the riff after the intro has a completely different feel to it. It starts off heavy and badass then the chords progression sounds super happy and not in the same vein as the intro. I know we're not going to change it but something should be done better. I think we should do the "We Are' "Monarchs" chant, the intro should play, then Crazy Train, have the team run out at the same time every time (it always bothered me when they ran out at different parts of the song because it killed the anticipation), then after the team runs out at the appropriate time of the song, have the band play the fight song and if its possible, mic them up. I know this is all easier said than done and I'm sure the staff who puts this all together knows a lot more than us and have worked hard to put it together, but I think a more streamlined entrance can make a huge difference. Some schools that have some of the better entrances in college football have a very professional and tight entrance, and it gets the crowd into it from the start, before the first ball is kicked.

what kills the anticipation for me is watching our team stand at the locker room/ entrance for 3 plus minutes before running out.

That is very true. Unfortunately our tunnel is pretty wide and doesn't hide well, so even if we had an inflatable entrance it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Hopefully this will be solved if we ever get to phase 2 of new FF, where the tunnel to the locker room is under the student section and it looks perfect for that type of entrance
