Two hockey towns if there ever were. Not like those pretenders in Minneapolis and Chicago ... pffft, do they even play hockey there???
Uh, what? If it came down to hockey town status then Toronto wouldn't have a 50 year drought while the likes of the Lightning and Canes wouldn't. And the previous NHL draft had numerous first round picks from St Louis IIRC.

Thanks for reminding me about serious, actual hockey towns like Tampa, Florida and Raleigh, North Carolina.
I don't think pretenders like Toronto and Montreal can hold a candle to either of those historical hockey capitols.

(the point)
(your head)
One of the smallest markets in baseball won two World Series titles in a decade while it took a team in the third largest city in the nation a whole 108 years to win just one. You point was that the Wild and Blackhawks (who a decade ago finished second-to-last in the NHL for attendance btw) are somehow more worthy of playoff success because they're hockey towns, I'm saying that it means s**t. Of course both of them are more likely to be successful than the Coyotes or Panthers, but just like every other sport, attendance and TV ratings don't win games, teams do.
Blues and Preds tied up 1-1 after last night's win. We've kicked ass on the road lately so it'll be interesting to see if we can continue that against a Nashville team that hadn't faced a ton of adversity in these playoffs until last night.

My goodness ... how could I have forgotten Phoenix, Arizona and Miami, Florida??? Aren't those the locations of the Mexican-American and Caribbean-American Hockey Halls of Fame??
Hard to think of many other places in the world who are more hockey crazed than those two!

I hate St Louis, they play so dirty during and after the whistle.

I don't know what your point is. True hockey markets up north support their teams better than those below the Mason-Dixon Line? Whoa, what a concept that cities capable of cold weather will be more into a sport that revolves around an ice playing surface. Is it that those markets are more deserving of success? Sorry, if you're that worthy you should take your market and leverage it to put out a team that'll beat the 'lesser' teams every April and May. Toronto has zero excuse for not winning a Cup the last 50 years; sure, the Blues drought in that time span is pretty sad, but at least we're a baseball town in the midwest, not the largest city in a nation that eats and breathes hockey.

Crosby out with a concussion. Caps with a huge chance to tie up 2-2 tomorrow night.
Have to wonder if Crosby out for rest of series. Even a week which would be normal would be thru game 6.

Good chance Sheary is out tomorrow with a concussion as well for Pittsburgh because of a hit from his own teammate.

Well the Blues are all but dead in the water, the Preds are playing their best hockey right now. I think they'll win the WCF.

Caps choke. Again. As a Canes fan, it makes for a happy day. However, it's cloudy and rainy because Penguins won...

That about sums it up.... whenever a Caps fan talks sh* to me I always retort about that empty trophy case lacking a Stanley Cup they have!

While Anaheim seems more interested in hitting the opposing players and knocking them around, Nashville seems intent on trying to actually score goals. #17 for the Ducks is practically asking for it.
