OT New food choices for students coming to campus
There is just no end in sight to where President Gaber is finding ways to improve the financial condition for UT, and too boot, provide nicer and better food options for the students. I bet the other national chain they are not commenting on will be something that most students asked for and they want to keep that a surprise? Another example is the huge new contract with Coke signed last year. Of course the grand daddy of them all will be the master plan implementation that starts in December of this year, the merging of three colleges, etc etc etc. But we are seeing things big and small start to add up quickly. We got one heck of a President in her!

An excerpt to the thread below, but pretty much sounds like they listened to the students.

UT President Sharon Gaber sought to reexamine the current contract to determine if there were opportunities to add choices for students and improve the financial terms, said spokesman Meghan Cunningham.

“Students have told us that they would like to have national brands on our campus similar to the national brands that are most popular on other college campuses,” Kaye Patten, senior vice president for student affairs, told the board of trustees during a Sept. 12 meeting at which they approved a letter of intent to finalize the new deal.

$1,822 per semester. 04-jawdrop $15 a day to eat? Whatever happened to ramen?

I always liked the cafeteria in the Union. I like a changing menu over "national" brands. To each...

I spent 15$ a day easy on food. Magic wok and subway, or any other meal from the pod and you've got your 15$. Im not even a big kid.
