God these officials are so bad. Both ways, just pure incompetent.

Ugh, Leston makes another stupid play trying to make an INT in the endzone instead of knocking it down. Tips it to Miami (OH) instead. We better recover the onside kick.

WKU recovers the onside kick. Should be able to kneel this out now. What a crappy game.

So many things went against WKU today (penalties, turnovers, unlucky bounces). Sigh of relief.

Feels like a loss. We let a bad Miami(OH) team out gain us and take us to the wire. 03-hissyfit

14 of their 24 points came on tipped passes for TDs. We played like crap, but they got very lucky over and over. Also, that first fumble by Taylor was NOT a fumble. The ground cannot cause a fumble. He was already down and the ball was not coming out before hand.

I think the rain worked against us as well. We were a lot more run heavy than we normally would have been (made all the tougher by the Ferby injury). Lost some confidence and momentum early.

Oh well. Hope we can get healthy and shore some things up in practice this week or Vandy will be a tall order.

Considering we were missing our top three RBs (I'm including Allen, along with Ace and Furby), our offense moved the ball OK. The penalties, turnovers, bad calls, and just some bad luck made it much closer than it should've been.

What did I just I watch? Just a crazy game not in a good way...What should have been a 24 point win was offset by one guy for us who cannot catch or bat a ball down apparently and handed them 14 points...Offense was way worse, thank god for Tony Levine and Special teams today!....Zero rhythm to this game, weather crazy, refs MAC level suckiness equals a very frustrating day for WKU fans...Also Lamp with a knee injury is not good either...

However a win is a win, and it could be way worse,we could be a Marshall fan right now who has acted like their defense is equivalent to the 85 Bears for the last 3 seasons...

Hopefully this game was just a trap game looking ahead to Vandy and coming off BAMA game..I expect a better performance next Saturday...

Ferby, Wales, Lamp, Ward, etc. Need all hands on deck. Gotta get these boys healthy.

If we had Wales & Ferby and a dry field and Miami didn't have so much luck bounce their way we win this one going away. Need everyone healthy for Vandy. Nice to win but no way should the Redhawks have been so close. That is football, sometimes you just have to be glad you get out with a W no matter the score.

He played early, but left around halftime (limped to the locker room as Chad Bishop put it).

Wow I got a total different feeling from this game than some of you worrying Western fans....

not once did I get the feeling Western could lose this game. Hell it was closer to a 35 point win than a loss...few freak plays that probably wont happen over 1 out of 10 made this a closer game.

As for Western's defense...

again I saw something different. I saw very good pass and rush defense till Western went conservative on offense and a few quick drives stalled. The tip for a TD gave their offense some confidence but when you put your DBs one on one for the whole game...you are going to give up some catches.

111 of 339 yards came off 2 balls that at worse incomplete passes but both should have been a INT

They could have called 15 freaking holding calls yesterday...which would have turned a 4 hour game into 4.5 hours. Refs took any flow away from this game. Rain, wind, and freak plays did the rest

I feel about the same. Only thing that I'm worried about is how sloppy we were.. Sorta expected to an inferior opponent with a sec team at your place next week (not saying it's a good team)
