I'm out in the Bay Area visiting my Mom and brother (Stanford Law grad and season ticketholder for all sports), and will be attending the USC - Stanford game on Saturday. Stanford just released their 2017 football schedule, and they play at HRS opening weekend (which happens to be Labor Day weekend).

At least we'll have plenty of game film to work against during Spring and Summer practice!

Only twice before has Rice played the same opponent in back-to-back games: in 1982-83, and again in 2005-06, Rice played Houston to end one season and to open the next. Rice lost all four games.

You mean we will be playing Stanford in our Bowl game this year? That will be odd playing someone three games in a row.

Yes. Of course I should have been more specific and worded it as "back-to-back regular season games."
