And be honest. Did you cheat on looking them up or know any of them previously?

You are wrong on one.

So you are telling me my senses are good enough.

If they are so good, which one are you wrong on?

I would have to say the black "man" aka biologically black female.

I don't think the government has the answer to every problem, you do. Sometimes they simply make a situation worse. This is one of those times, and Charlotte started the ball rolling.

So over 50% of transgender people reporting being harassed when using the restroom isn't a problem? It's such a non-problem that websites and apps had to be created to let transgender people know where they can safely use the restroom when out in public? http://www.transequality.org/issues/nati...ion-survey

63% of transgender people experience harassment in their daily lives.
http://www.transequality.org/sites/defau...Report.pdf

Charlotte didn't "start the ball rolling". Many other states and cities have implemented policies previously without starting mass hysteria like in NC.

Apparently NC thinks there needs to be a standard on it. Instead of letting Charlotte say that you use the restroom of the gender you identify with, NC said NOPE, use what's on your birth certificate. But that doesn't match what's seen on the outside for transgender people. (Oh and NC won't let them change the birth certificate either.)

Your link is to an unscientific, online survey, designed by "a team of community-based advocates, transgender leaders, researchers, lawyers and LGBT policy experts." Even then, I don't find an "over 50%" figure for bathroom harassment anywhere in the survey responses.

Charlotte started the ball rolling in the sense that the NC legislature never would have enacted their law if Charlotte hadn't enacted theirs first. Are we going to parse each and every phrase or can we stick to the obvious meanings?

No matter what the Charlotte law purportedly says, the result is that it gives men a legal right to be in the women's bathroom, showers, and locker rooms.

Solution: Make EVERY restroom a 'one-holer'. One door, one sink, one toilet. Sign on door says "Restroom". Make sure there's a lock and it is operable. And TP, that would be highly important.

ANY human being that needs to make use of the facilities may then do so...

No zombies though.

Let's play another round of your photo game. What is the gender of this person? (By the way, it's Bruce Jenner, taken while he was in college.)

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-col...1741194975

According to the Department of Justice, gender is whatever this person says it is, and requiring any qualifications beyond self identity is a violation of the law. Wouldn't you agree?

According to the NCAA, gender is whatever this person says it is, but she can qualify to compete in women's sports only if she is undergoing hormone therapy. Say, what?!?

Obviously, the NCAA is a bigoted organization.

I mean, not all transgender people want to transition or take hormones. What gives the NCAA the right to impose any type of restriction on gender identity? Certainly, we can't allow a sports organization, under the guise of competitive fairness, to infringe on the freedom and rights of transgender people. Agreed?

I think the DOJ should force the NCAA to move their championship games to Mexico until they remove this hateful requirement.

Are you with me?

But, as a biological male who identifies as a male, do I leave the seat up or down when exiting?

Want to go again? Left to right, what is the gender of each person in this photo? (By the way, it's a motorcycle gang.)

http://wpmedia.news.nationalpost.com/201...=all&w=620

Answer: It doesn't matter. Under the Charlotte law, they have an unfettered legal right to be in the women's bathroom. And I know you're not one to judge people by appearances, so send your daughters on in. They're never to young to learn to accept people as they are.

I encourage each of you to maybe expand your mindset and actually MEET people in the LGTBQ community. Talk to them. Hear their stories. Talk to some transgender people, their family and friends.

Get out of your own little bubble and realize that what they go through sucks AND it's not a choice.

We can hash this out all day long, but until you put real people you know into the situation, I'm not sure you'll ever have any true grasp of what is at stake.

As I said in the beginning, some people are perched so high in the tree of moral superiority they can't see what's happening on the ground.

I'm sympathetic to transgender people and the bigotry they face. And if the government proposes a thoughtful, practical solution that doesn't portend more harm than good, count me in. But, the government doesn't always have the answer, and the Charlotte law certainly ain't it.

I realize that transgender people are real people with a lot at stake, but what the high-perch people adamantly refuse to admit is that parents and children, business owners, school teachers, and everyone else here on the ground are real people, too, and our very valid concerns are just as legitimate as anyone else's.

I think it is wrong to discriminate against transgender people.
At the same time, I think the Obama DOJ is wrong.
I think the Charlotte law is wrong.
I think the NCAA boycott is full-throat hypocrisy that is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
And, had you asked me, I'd have said the NC law is wrong, too.

If any of those opinions cause someone to ajudge me a bigot, guess what? They're wrong (at least from my perspective, here on the ground).

Have a toilet with a fixed seat AND include a urinal. If you need to sit, sit. If you can stand, stand. Just make sure you leave the place as clean as you found it. Problem solved (again). 04-cheers

Or we can just go all Asian/Middle Eastern(and others) and squat with holes in the floor instead of toilets?

It supposed to be a more healthy position or something?
