I live in one of the markets Comcast has imposed an arbitrary cap of 300gb on.

I hope Comcast goes broke, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I don't despise any corporation as much as I do them. At the risk of sounding crude, they can suck my left nut. They are a rip-off organization.

Besides, if they are going to charge me based on some measurement then they should have to have the modem in my house approved by the Department of Agriculture for measurement accuracy.

That's the first time I've heard that, and it's not a bad point.

No real idea what the Dept of AG or the 300gb stuff means, But I will say- Comcast sucks BOTH balls, left and right.

It goes out for an "update" near nightly, but I don't see any improvement or difference. Even after a month of this "we're upgrading your system" crap.

Bought one more "outage" to going with Verizon or a dish thing.

The biggest reason I was glad the Comcast time Warner merger failed for me personally was Comcasts data caps. What a scam they are

Virtually all cable/telecom companies are for data caps.

Fortunately not something I'll have to worry about in Charlotte because Google Fiber will keep data caps from becoming a reality here. Since they'll be offering an uncapped solution, the competition can't put caps in place without losing customers.
